Graphics files of most any sort are suitable, although those used on the cover should be at least 300 dpi to assure good quality print.
We use Adobe Indesign to create covers for the books. Covers have to meet certain specifications in order to be properly printed. We can use your files on the cover or create a design of our own.
We can also import from many other formats. |

Designing a good cover for your book can be quite expensive because of the graphics work involved. For example, Amazon charges $500.00 for a cover design. But don't despair, at KA, we start our cover design charges at $50. For a limited time, we are offering a charge of only $10.00 per hour for work above and beyond the basic cover design. You can also contribute a cover of your own. For example, Bedpan Devotions has a front cover drawn by an artist friend of the author, Glen Wheeler. Also, Were You Raised Into New Life With Christ? is a cover designed by the author, Ray Downen. |

"So how much do I get paid and when?" Royalties through online retailers and bookstores are paid at 15% of the gross sales. This is a high royalty rate usually only reserved for the most famous authors. A simple example would be as follows: if your book sold for $10.00 then you get $1.50 and never have to handle a book! Royalties from the retailers are paid to Koinonia Associates and we pay you when we get paid. Payments are made no less than annually and may be made more frequently if the situation warrants. |

Sometimes authors want to have copies of their books on hand for speaking engagements, promotions, or as gifts. When you publish with KA, you can buy copies of your book at 40% of the cover price. So, if your book lists for $10.00, then you would pay around $4.00 for a copy. This price may be higher or lower depending upon your location, how many books are ordered, any discounts that may apply and so forth. Most often it is a little less than the 40%. We can send you one copy or 1,000 - it doesn't matter how many you want to order. We do what we can to help you get the lowest price. |
